The Sim

The USS Protean is a Nova-class variant based in the Beta Quadrant in 2377. As a science/scout vessel, the Protean is regularly assigned to planetary research missions. It is not typically suitable for combat operations, but the Nova variant has upgraded defensive capabilities compared to that of its earlier production sibling. Despite being deployed as a science vessel, the Protean is more than capable of handling many threats on its own.
