| Personal History | Kari was born in 2351 in the Utopia Colony on Mars. Gabriel, her father, is a professor of physics at one of the Martian universities and her mother, Joanna, is an architect. From a young age Kari had several dealings with Starfleet and Federation personnel due to her mother's involvement in building many of their facilities on Mars. She would often tag along to various build sites and was always amazed at their technology, especially the shuttles. When she was old enough, she begged her parents to allow her to gain her shuttle pilot license. At 17, she applied to, and was accepted to Starfleet Academy's Command School majoring in Helm/Navigation. Upon graduation she was assigned to the USS Repulse, an Excelsior class ship, as a flight control officer. In 2376 she was promoted to Lt. (j.g.) and named Asst. Chief Flight Control Officer. In 2375 she transferred to the USS Protean as the Chief Flight Control Officer. |
