| Personal History | Gwilym was born in Penmaenmawr, Wales on Earth in 2347. His father, Maelon, was a Sarfleet tactical officer for ten years until he met Gwynn and married one year later. Maelon gave up his commission to return to Wales with his bride to start a family. Maelon began work as a teacher at a local primary school while Gwynn continued working in her family's shop, eventually taking over the business herself. Gwilym is the youngest of three, having two older sisters. His father regaled him with stories of his time in Starfleet and Gwilym couldn't wait until he was old enough to attend the academy. His parents raised him right, ensuring that he excelled in his studies, made certain that he was athletic, and that he had a good mind for problem-solving. In 2364, Maelon used some of his former contacts in the Fleet to sponsor Gwilym's acceptance to Starfleet Academy where he focused on tactical & security, which made his father exceedingly proud. With all of the help his parents had given him, preparing him for the Academy, Gwilym excelled in his studies and graduated in 2368. |
