| Personal History | Born in Gößnitz, Thuringia in Germany in 2342, Astrid was a very precocious child and showed an independent streak very early on. Despite being the middle child, she would often take charge of herself and her siblings and, much to her parent's dismay, she would mimic their words and actions in attempting to discipline her own siblings when they did something wrong. She was also a very sweet child, despite being so strong-willed, normally bringing her mother flowers and helping her clean the house. Astrid grew up feeling like a caretaker to anyone around her. She would provide counseling and emotional support, physical aid, or anything else anyone would need. At age 20 she wanted to do this on a much larger scale and enlisted in Starfleet. After training she was assigned to the USS Ahwahnee, a Cheyenne class ship, as a medical aide. She served until 2369 where she was transferred to the USS Devore, an Akira class ship where she became a medical assistant, serving more closely to the nurses and doctors. In 2374 she was promoted to PO1 and began training as a physician's assistant. Two years later she was transferred to the USS Protean. |
